Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions is a 19th century novel by Edwin Abbott that describes the life of a 2-dimensional square who meets a 3-dimensional sphere. Since the square only exists in a single 2-dimensional slice of the 3-dimensional plane, he can only view the infinitely thin slice of the sphere that is bisected by his plane, so the sphere appears as a circle.

The game Flatland is a concept I have been experimenting with for a while now. This is the second iteration, but the first functional one. In this game, you play as a circle, platforming in a world of rectangles. These rectangles, however, are actually infinitely thin slices of rectangular prisms. In order to jump through the levels, the circle will have to break the boundaries of 2-dimensions and turn in order to progress. Use your natural understanding of the third dimension to beat this mind-breaking game.
